With the season coming to a close, and many SST modified teams beginning the reconstruction and freshening of key components on their racecars…managing representatives of the Super Short Track racing series will be doing the same…continually looking for better ways to improve the affordability, race quality, and recognition of the team/sponsors. The first, and most celebrated event of participation is the 2006 SST Awards Banquet. This will be the first season the level will be raised to a semi-formal event. The banquet will be held in conjunction with the WCIS celebration set for Saturday, November 18.
Next, several meetings are currently being scheduled for specific series discussion. This is when different members of the SST family gather together and review rules, structure, and regulations. Any outside ideas or adjustments should be submitted soon so the SST management can carefully investigate any potential change. Although, no major changes are expected within the general format of the current SST series organization, there is always room for improvement.
Next representatives of the SST management team will head down South to the (PRI) Performance Racing Industry Trade Show in December. The goal is to learn and discuss ideas with potential sponsors. This is a major gathering of industry representatives and the contacts are very beneficial for 2007 and the future.
